Chairman's Message 2007/2008 Dear
Centre Members, Before
I look forward to my second year as your Chairman I would just like to look
back over the past year, which was the Caravan Club's Centenary Year. Anita and I
attended several celebration events but, of course, the highlight for us was the
Caravan Club's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. It was a magical day and to have spoken
to Prince Phillip was an honour indeed. Although
we did not have a full committee last year, I am delighted to say that we
all worked well together and I thank them all for their hard work and enthusiasm
and for the fact that they are all staying on for another year. Despite
the bad weather we had during 2007 I am pleased to be able to say that we
had a good caravanning year as a centre and that our membership has increased to
over 1330 members. I extend a warm welcome to those new members and, if you enjoy good
company, walking, cycling, sports, sightseeing or just chilling out and
relaxing, would ask you to come and join us one weekend you'll be pleasantly surprised! If you
have young children with excess energy to burn bring them along to a rally to meet
other children. They will learn social skills, which will put them in good stead for when
they either leave school or go on to college and university. Once
again my thanks go to the Rally Secretary and all the Rally Officers who
have submitted the following programme for your enjoyment. Please give them your
full support and help them by arriving no earlier than the time published on the
forms. Anita
and I look forward to seeing you on the rally field and at socials and wish
you all an enjoyable year's caravanning with the North Lancashire Caravan Centre. Best
Wishes |

Teenage Chairman's Message 2007/2008 Dear Ralliers I am very pleased and honoured to be the North Lancashire Caravan Centre's Teenage Chairman for the forthcoming year. I am very pleased to say that the Teenagers raised a grand total of £2800 (at the time of going to print) in aid of the Air Ambulance Service, which was last year's charity. I am looking forward to working with this year's committee and would like to thank last year's Teenage Chairman Thomas Lewis who has stayed on to become the Vice Chairman for this year. We are organising a Valentines Rally in February and two other rallies in May and October in addition to the Children's Christmas Party and, with the rally officers' permission, we will be running a bonus ball and tuck shop on the weekend rallies. I would like to thank the past committee Rachael Foster and Amelia Calvert for all the hard work they put in over the last year, I would also like to thank Denise Ryles, the Teenage Liaison Officer, for the work she did over the past year. I hope to see you all soon on future caravan rallies over the coming year and, along with the rest of the teenage committee, I hope you will join us for an enjoyable year of rallying. Mark Ryles (Teenage Chairman) |
